You can never start preparing for Christmas too soon and whilst not everyone wants to think about Christmas in October, here at ercol it is very much front of mind. Christmas is a busy time of year for us all for many reasons, but planning and being organised can really help.
Many of you will be planning a large gathering with friends and family. And to make the day go smoothly, you need to think where everyone is going to sit for the festive feast and afterwards to watch TV or to play some party games. And if you have family staying over where everyone will sleep?

Three of the ercol team joined 19 other riders to cycle an incredible 470 miles from London to Bordeaux to raise money for the Furniture Makers Company Charity.
It was a tough but highly rewarding journey for the team. On the last day of this epic exploration, ercol Chairman, Edward Tadros recalled
“Finally arrived to a civic reception put on by the Deputy Mayor in the centre of Bordeaux on Friday evening. It poured with rain all day but we have been able to relax and recuperate in Bordeaux over a lovely sunny weekend. I think we are all quite surprised and very pleased to be here.”

The team has raised over £8000 so far for this worthy cause and donations are still coming in. It isn’t too late to donate if you feel able to. You can donate here via the Just Giving page.
The Furniture Makers company charity supports the old and infirm in the industry but it also supplies grants and training to young people and those who are hoping to come into the industry too. Read more about the work of The Furniture Makers Company here.
