ercol at Maison et Objet 2014

by ercol on January 29, 2014

ercol at Maison et Objet 04This January has seen ercol exhibiting in Paris at Maison et Objet .  This major international furniture show has over 3,000 exhibitors, split roughly 50:50 between French companies and International Exhibitors and receives around 85,000 visitors.  ercol took part in, “now! design à vivre”, described by the organisers as “Design and innovation for objects and furniture to live with.”

ercol has a long history of working with different timbers – particularly elm, beech, oak andercol at Maison et Objet 03 ash.  For Maison et Objet we have reinterpreted some of our pieces in beautiful walnut, starting with Matthew Hilton’s graceful and highly functional Treviso desk.  Our popular love seat, part of the ercol Originals collection – a small range of some of our favourite pieces from our back catalogue, loving reissued – has had a makeover with a walnut seat providing a stunning contrast with the beech underframe and back.  Our Svelto cabinets combine oak and walnut – an oak carcass with contrasting walnut doors, which slide to reveal different sections of the interior.

Also new to the show is our stacking bar stool with its distinctive frame and elegant sculpted seat.  The stool stacks vertically enabling large numbers to be stacked.

Our thanks to everyone who came onto our stand to say hello and a warm greeting to our new stockists who signed up at the show.
