evergreen chair in emerald greenWe’ve been having some fun applying Pantone’s colour of the year, emerald green, to our furniture.  And so it seemed only right that we should do so to our furniture that is green by name – our Evergreen sofa and chairs.  Evergreen was originally designed in the 1950’s and is a real showmanship of steam-bending – with its amazing chair bow that is made from one straight rail of beech, hand bent in a jig by two craftsmen – and of the Windsor chairmaking art.

We’ve given it a real pop of colour with Harlequin’s Impasto Amoura fabric.  Inspired by impressionism, this fabric’s bright and bold abstract design contrasts with the stark simplicity of the evergreen’s timber frame in clear beech.  A real fusion of the contemporary and the classic.
