Well, Interiors 2010, the furniture trade’s main UK show, has come to an end. We thoroughly enjoyed our collaboration with textile designers Puff and Flock, who came up with some fun pieces for the Designersblock stand, using ercol Originals.
An ercol studio couch was transformed into a multi-tentacled creature whilst in Carbon Copy chair an ercol butterfly chair was transformed, encased in fabric. Woven Light saw various ercol Originals in black adorned with bright orange bird tracks and installed in a dark room with luminous fabrics, whilst Twirl saw an ercol loveseat decorated with metal grills that fitted between the lists. You can see images of all these creations on our Flickr site.
But what about the ercol stand? This year we had a much larger stand, so we could show more of our products, spanning dining, living and bedroom furniture. Our
new Torino dining range was the hit of the show for us and will be in stores during the summer – more details here a little nearer the time.
Thanks to everyone who made Interiors 2010 such a success – our employees for all their hard work and our retailers for making the time to come and see us. We’re now busy preparing for our Open House in May when we will be showing further new ranges to our retailers for autumn launch.
