Founded in 1920 by Lucian Ercolani, Ercol is 90 years old on the 29th January. Over this time we have seen many changes, in furniture styles, the way we live our lives and what we expect our furniture to do.
However, there have been some constants throughout this period – the demand for good design, good quality and affordability and we’ve tried to constantly deliver on this. Our heritage has provided us with a wealth of experience on which to draw and this is reflected in the skills of our loyal and long serving workforce.
As we entered the new millennium, we moved from our home of eighty years in High Wycombe, just down the road to a new, purpose built factory and showroom in Princes Risborough, where we maintain our commitment to UK furniture manufacturing. This year will see us launch a host of new ranges, across dining and occasional furniture, upholstery and bedroom furniture, as we look forward to the next decade and the next ninety years.
So we’d like to say a big thank you, on our ninetieth birthday, to all our customers, our retailers and our employees. Without you we wouldn’t exist.
