As part of the Jubilee tour, Her Majesty The Queen, visited Henley recently.  Arriving in style by steam boat, the Queen was then shown displays by local businesses, school children and organisations.  The Wycombe Museum put on a display of old windsor chairs, whilst a nest of red, white and blue ercol pebble tables provided a suitably patriotic splash of colour.   A display of traditional chair making skills, included a hand powered spindle lathe, brought chair making to life.  Red Bull racing provided some glamour with a collection of their cars and the Thames Heritage Tapestry was also on show – more than 200 schools along the Thames from its source in Gloucestershire to the estuary at Southend-on-Sea each created a one metre square tapestry depicting historical and current aspects of the Thames.

If you visit the ercol timeline you can see the stand we had at the Silver Jubilee celebrations.
