This month sees us transport the ercol showroom to the Museum of Army Flying at Middle Wallop for the weekend of 11th-12th September. In collaboration with our local retailers, we will be launching our new 2011 catalogue, with a range of new furniture and new season fabrics. There will be some great promotions and the chance for you to ask any questions of ercol’s experts.
The Museum is home to a unique collection of aviation history. There are over 35 historic fixed wing and rotary wing (that’s helicopters to you and me!) aircraft on display, along with detailed dioramas, artefacts, trophies and models. The Museum gives a fascinating and imaginative glimpse of airmen and their life.
There are plenty of hands on things for children to do, a picnic area, cinema, 1940’s house, the obligatory gift shop and a licensed café. The Museum has many hidden treasures and curios, including an anti-aircraft shell caught by a cockpit observer at 8,000 feet.
Free entry to the ercol exhibition and to the Museum is by invitation only. To obtain your invitation and for details of participating stockists please contact Julie Ansty on 01844 271821. The Museum is located on the A343 between Andover & Salisbury and the exhibition will be open 10am to 5pm on Saturday 11th September and 10am to 4 pm on Sunday 12th.
