Post image for new fabrics for 2013

We constantly scour the fabric shows to bring you our favourites from the new trends.  We’ve just issued our new fabric collection.  We asked Ruth, our head of design, to describe the new additions:

“We have three main themes running through this year’s new fabrics. The first we have adopted is the strong trend in home-wares for ethnic influences. We have selected two lines that incorporate global themes. The first incorporate liveable colours into a subtly faded print. The second offers a flat weave ethnic motif in a medallion, a Kilim pattern and an accompanying stripe. We have selected neutral colours for these, adding a vibrant yellow and grey as an alternative shade.

Additionally, we have added a line of contemporary urban fabrics that would be especially suited to some of our more modern upholstery designs. These show a modern wave pattern in a red and a silver, and we have also added some plain boucles in similar colours for a smart modern feel.

For a softer look, we have opted for some large scale prints in two soft colour options. And to accompany this softer side we have added two very soft chenille velvets in complementary colours.”

You can get a copy of our new fabric brochure from our website or you can see swatches of the fabrics in your nearest ercol stockist or in our Princes Risborough showroom.

Hi,
I have been trying for the past 3 years to find the fabric which would suit my Bergere Suite which is in the light wood & needs replacing. I am finding it so difficult to get something which suits. This furniture is in the family room my kitchen is the opposite end of the room; I’m looking for a casual green or something casual which will compliment the light wood and not look too formal. At this stage I’m thinking of getting rid of the Bergere and buying something which suits. Please help I don’t want to do this as my sitting room, dinning room and hall furniture is all Ercol.
Please Help!!!!!!!!!!
Margaret
