As part of the London Design Festival, ercol will be exhibiting at Tent London between 20th-23rd September. One of the pieces we’ll be showing is a recreation of our 203 windsor armchair. Originally designed by ercol’s founder, Lucian Ercolani, back in the 1950s it will form a new addition to the ever growing ercol Originals – a collection of some of our favourite pieces from our back-catalogue, lovingly reissued. Lucian’s original sketch for the 203 chair from his design book is shown below.
For Tent London, we’ve commissioned a special fabric which we’ll be showing the chair in (shown above). Designed and hand-printed for us by Tamasyn Gambell, you can read more about it in our earlier blog article.
Tent London takes place at the Old Truman Brewery in London. A visit here can easily be combined with many of the other myriad events taking place as part of the London Design Festival.
